Crispy Sweet Chili Thai Fried Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp creole seasoning
  • 1 cup Sweet Chili thai Sauce
  • cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a bowl add the shrimp and buttermilk. Ensure that the buttermilk is covering all teh shrimp.
  • In another bowl add the flour, and all the seasonings. Mix until fully combined.
  • Take the shrimp out of the buttermilk and coat in the seasoned flour. Ensure that the shrimp are fully coated.
  • Once the oil is hot, fry the shrimp for 2-3 minutes or until brown and crisped.
  • Drain of the excess grease and sit aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, pour in the sweet chili thai sauce allowing it to get hot.
  • In a large bowl add in the shrimp and pour the sauce over them. Toss until fully coated. Serve with ranch.
