Crispy Sweet Chili Thai Fried Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp creole seasoning
- 1 cup Sweet Chili thai Sauce
- cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl add the shrimp and buttermilk. Ensure that the buttermilk is covering all teh shrimp.
- In another bowl add the flour, and all the seasonings. Mix until fully combined.
- Take the shrimp out of the buttermilk and coat in the seasoned flour. Ensure that the shrimp are fully coated.
- Once the oil is hot, fry the shrimp for 2-3 minutes or until brown and crisped.
- Drain of the excess grease and sit aside.
- In a medium saucepan, pour in the sweet chili thai sauce allowing it to get hot.
- In a large bowl add in the shrimp and pour the sauce over them. Toss until fully coated. Serve with ranch.
