In a large pot cover the potatoes with water and boil until tender. about 15-20 minutes. Drain the water off.
Preheat the oven to 400 F.
Season both sides of the salmon with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and creole seasoning. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
Cream the potatoes by using a masher or a handheld mixer. While the potatoes are still hot add in the milk and butter and mix until fully combined. Add in the sour cream, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until combined.
Using a fork break up the salmon into small pieces. Serve with salmon on top the potatoes.
