The Best Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
Thick, buttery and loaded with chocolate chips — these are the softest, most perfect chocolate chip cookies you'll ever make. One bowl, no chilling required, ready in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
- 8 tbsp salted butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup light brown sugar packed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
Dry Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
Mix Ins
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°. Microwave butter for 40 seconds until just melted. Let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, add in the butter, and sugars and beat until creamy, Then add in the vanilla, and egg. Mix for 10-15 seconds. Do not overbeat.
- In another bowl, add the flour, baking soda, and salt. MIx until combined. Add the dry ingredients into the mixiing bowl until fully combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Roll into 12 balls and bake for 9-11 minutes. Let them cool on the pan for 20-30 minutes.
