Roasted Cornish Hens
Ingredients
- 2 whole Cornish Hens Cleaned
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp Seasoning salt
- 1/2 cup Chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Pat dry hens with paper towels, then pour the oil over the hens. Massage oil all over the hens ensuring they are fully covered.
- Season the hens with all the seasonings making sure they are fully covered on both sides.
- Transfer the seasoned hens to a baking dish and add the chicken broth to the bottom of the dish.
- Bake for 45 – 50 minutes or until the thickest part of the breast has an internal temperature of 165° F. Baste the hens with the chicken broth every 15 – 20 minutes.
- Allow the hens to rest for at least 20 minutes before serving.
