Buttermilk Fried Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup All purpose flour
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1/4 tsp Creole seasoning
Instructions
- In bowl add the shrimp and buttermilk.
- Ensure that the buttermilk is covering all the shrimp.
- In another bowl add the flour, old bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder and creole seasoning. Mix until fully combined.
- Take the shrimp out of the buttermilk and coat in the flour mixture. Ensure that the flour mixture is fully covered on the shrimp.
- Once the oil is hot, fry the shrimp for 2 – 3 minutes or until brown and crisped.
- Drain off excess grease and serve immediately.
